Demb Mega Flip-it! Kit flash reflector (best flash diffuser rating: 8.91) is an addition to Demb Flip-it! family of products. It is the largest reflector created by Joe Demb, and it can be used as a directional main light.
Demb Mega Flip-it! Kit is a modular reflector. It includes two reflecting panels: semi-matte Mega reflector and glossy Super reflector. Mega reflector's dimensions are 6.5" x 7", and Super reflector is 5.5" x 6". The panels can be easily interchanged using the Velcro attachment system.
The Mega reflector can be attached either horizontally or vertically.
You can also take advantage of the modular approach and create your own reflectors using the materials you prefer. You can add silver or gold reflectors to the kit or make a really big one.
Both reflectors included in the kit are larger then the original Demb Flip-it!, which is 4" x 4":

Please note that one of the corners of the Mega reflector is cut as a precaution measure. When the reflector is attached horizontally, and the camera is in the vertical shooting position, the corner of the reflector gets too close to your left eye if not cut.
Another difference from the original Demb Flip-it! is the mount. It is bigger now, but still features a collar and a hinge. The new element is an angled Plexiglass arm to keep the reflecting surface farther from the flash head.

The mount can be attached to a flash head with a wide stretchy strap that is secure and convenient.

Demb Mega Flip-it! folds flat (not as flat as the original Demb Flip-it!, though) and is very portable.

When the reflector is set vertically, it is more evenly illuminated than when it's tilted forward. Using the vertical positions means that you either lose a significant amount of your battery power (outdoors) or have some light bounced off of a ceiling (indoors). However, in return you get a large even source of light, and that is the idea behind the Mega Flip-it! design.
In case you want to get more directional light, you can set the reflector forward. The Mega Flip-it mount is designed to be set from 45 degrees forward to all the way backwards. When mounting on a wide side of a flash head, 45 degree position allows to redirect all the light forward. If you mount on a narrow side (to be able to switch from horizontal to vertical shooting), keep in mind that with the reflectors included into Mega Flip-it! Kit, some portion of light might still go straight up. The following images demonstrate the vertical and the 45 degree positions with Super and Mega reflectors.

To be able to set a reflector forward, make sure you bring the Velcro base all the way forward before attaching your reflector. This makes the reflector sit a bit higher, which allows you moving it freely.

If you want to use the vertical position only, you can attach your reflector by aligning the Velcro tabs. Thus, the reflector itself prevents you from tilting it forward.

Demb Mega Flip-it! Kit includes four sets of Velcro to use with your own DIY reflectors. We took a few minutes and cut a larger reflector out of a mat board. The following image shows this 8" x 12" reflector set vertically.

Below are the sample images taken with Demb Mega Flip-it! Kit: Mega reflector (left) and 8"x12" DIY reflector (right). The camera is at the mannequin's eye-level, 3-4 feet from the mannequin. Flash is off camera about a foot to the camera's left, at the lens level, 3-4 feet from the mannequin. Ceiling is about 6 feet above the camera. Walls are not affecting the picture.
