To extend his line of flash light modifier and offer more lighting options to photographers, Joe Demb releases two new products: Demb Saucer Flip-it! and Demb Portrait Dish. They both feature a hood, but their sizes and application are very different.
Saucer Flip-it! is similar to the original Big Flip-it!, which has no plexiglass arm (see Demb Flip-it! redesign). The Saucer's hinge allows you to set the reflecting panel at various angles, and the top part snaps up to make a hood.
Demb Portrait Dish is really the biggest portable hot shoe diffuser we've seen so far. It is approximately 13" x 13" in size and is intended to be used mostly off camera. The purpose of Portrait Dish is to create a light source, similar to a studio umbrella. The diffuser folds to about a third of its size (but not completely flat).
Please note that Demb Saucer Flip-it! and Demb Portrait Dish are not completely color neutral. The are made of high-density polyethylene, which adds a slight warm tint to the pictures.
Below, there are several product shots of Demb Saucer Flip-it! and Demb Portrait Dish.
